My love of Nature got me hooked on photography. For many years, I carried a pocket-sized camera with me wherever I went. Making photographs on long hikes in the mountains or by the ocean was thoroughly captivating and inspiring for me. And it felt like magic to transform those experiences and emotional connections with trees, rocks and waters into lasting images that I could hold in my hands or see on my wall.
In 2015, my lifelong passion for photography also became my career. I am thrilled to be a full-time photographic artist and committed teacher of photography. When teaching in small groups or one-on-one, I emphasize the craftsmanship of photography combined with the artistic principles of design and composition, as well as the inner creative process essential to making remarkable images.
For most of the past 35 years, I have been very fortunate to live in a beautiful part of New Jersey: Princeton and neighboring Hopewell. Many of my images were made within walking distance of my home in Princeton, and at favorite locations in Maine, Rhode Island, Arizona, California, Oregon, Washington and France.
